Not a World Untouched

Print

Not a world untouched.
Not a world untouched by your grace.
In a darkened sky
even in the night the sun will shine.

The likeness of a thousand stars
falling down upon the earth.

Yet we struggle with faith,
wavering in the storms that pass our way.
Ignorance and hate,
these are things we learn along the way.

I try and squint my eyes to see
the star that shines out there for me.

I believe that dawn will arrive in the dark of night.
In a darkened sky, shines the light of a million suns.
Can my empty life reach and touch another life?
I believe your love has a place in my lonely heart.

Then the darkness comes again.
We forget the kindness that you give.
Charity and faith,
these are things we lose the more we live.

I wonder why we fade
when we know you will calm the waves.

I believe that dawn will arrive in the dark of night.
In a darkened sky, shines the light of a million suns.
Can my empty life reach and touch another life?
I believe your love has a place in my lonely heart.

You have the power to save me
but my faith in you just slips away.

I believe that dawn will arrive in the dark of night.
In a darkened sky, shines the light of a million suns.
Can my empty life reach and touch another life?
I believe your love has a place in my lonely heart.
